Dental Hygienist
As a dental hygienist, it is my job to help educate our patients about maintaining good oral health, and to provide patients with teeth cleanings and X-rays. I love getting to know our patients, and establishing strong friendships with each of them. Knowing that I have helped make a difference in my patients’ lives is the most rewarding feeling. I also enjoy working with our doctors. They are so focused on their patients and providing the best care possible. It’s truly inspiring to watch them work, and an honor to be a part of their team.
When I’m not at the practice, I enjoy running, cycling, mountain biking, snowboarding, and volunteering with the Smart Girls Program through the Boys and Girls Club. I love spending time with my son, Connor, and I also enjoy running marathons.

Making sure that my patients leave with smiles on their faces is the best and most rewarding part of my job. I enjoy having the opportunity to form meaningful friendships with all of our patients, and I strive to make each person we treat feel as comfortable as possible in a caring environment. Smiling is an important part of life, and it’s our job to make sure that our patients enjoy smiling every day!
When I’m not at the practice, I enjoy traveling with my family, spending time with friends, cooking, and participating in almost any outdoor activity. I also enjoy playing Bunco with my girlfriends. My husband, Raul, and I have been happily married for many years. We have one daughter, named Veronica, who is so sweet and makes us prouder every day. We also have a tiny Chihuahua named Misty. I absolutely love to travel. I'm fluent in both Portuguese and Spanish, and am intrigued with other cultures and languages.

Working in dentistry is a wonderful experience. I love working with so many different patients, and seeing the smiles on their faces after they’ve received their treatments. I am fortunate to be one of the first people our patients see when they come to our practice, and I enjoy being able to provide a positive first impression by answering any questions they may have, and talking to them about their treatments. I feel confident in the care our patients receive, and I know that our doctors always put their patients’ needs first. They take time to address the issues, while making sure that their patients feel happy and comfortable.
In my free time, I love working on logic puzzles, Sudoku, and pretty much anything that makes me sit down and think for a while. I also enjoy playing the keyboard at home for my family. My husband Gary and I were married in March of 2011 and have two wonderful boys, Brice and Jayden. We are also excited to welcome a little baby girl named Jasmine, later this year. As a child I spent my summers in Nags Head, fishing in the Atlantic Ocean. The first fish I ever caught was a sand shark, and I still love fishing to this day.

As a dental assistant, I am here to assist the doctors, and make sure that our patients have a comfortable, positive experience. I enjoy helping our patients take care of their smiles and checking up on them in between procedures. Working with Dr. Amin and Dr. Strouth is wonderful. They truly care about their patients, and will do whatever it takes to provide them with the care they need. The doctors are also very knowledgeable and stay up-to-date with technology.
When I’m not at the practice, you can often find me spending time with my boyfriend Kevin, or cooking, attending auctions and yard sales, or boating. At home, I have a pet cat, named Gus, who keeps me company.

Dental Assistant
As a dental assistant, I help the doctors and ensure patient comfort throughout their treatment. I love interacting with patients and getting to know them a little more each time they come in. Every patient is so different! I also enjoy teaching patients things they never knew about dentistry. Working with our doctors is great because they are fun and they truly care about their patients. Every patient of this practice is treated as a VIP! We have a lot of fun as an office, and we really care about each other. It doesn't feel like work when you love what you do and the people you work with!
My husband's name is Colin and we have two dogs, Harley and Gunther. I enjoy reading, snowboarding, riding horses, playing rugby, and spending time outdoors. I go to school at the College of Southern Maryland and aspire to be a dental hygienist.
